A Taste of Aion PvE

Here’s a bit of info courtesy of Naamah at Aionic Thoughts. Dark Poeta sounds like a very exciting instance to me. The environments look amazing from an artistic standpoint, and there are some really cool looking mobs in there. The player Naamah quotes says the instance is very big and it would have to be to sport 16 bosses! I think it’s great that there are instances of that size to play through. I hope there are a least a couple of instances of that size, as well as some smaller ones.

I also love the game design choice of the instance scaling it’s difficulty based on how long it takes you to clear it. The first time you do it you’ll go a bit slower as you learn the layout and learn the encounters. The more time’s you run it and the better geared you are the more difficult it becomes! That’s such a great way for more casual players to be able to do the content, but at the same time making it fun for those who enjoy more of a challenge! In addition this design should help to increase the replay value for a given instance. It’s gonna be very exciting to play this game once it finally goes live in September!
